The wonders of technology

Is it just me or are my post titles all so cliche?

Anyway, I think I love saying "anyway" a lot. Anyway, the wonders of technology, right. Thanks to that, I noticed I have visitors from as far off as the U. S. of A, not to mention even Belgium, HALLO! Oh and I have a visitor(s) from India as well. You won't need to be a genius to guess who that is. Hey Bug! Thanks to this said technology I can even know what browser are you using, may it be Safari, Firefox, Chrome, oh and what are you using as well, iPad, Nokia phone, etc. Some of you may already know that this exist but hey, I'm still deeply impressed by it, so sue me.

I have a new roommate! a 30-something Venezuelan who has just recently moved Down Under. A soccer fan who loves Barca as well. Woot! Not too mention the dudes in the adjoining house. The racial mixture includes a couple of Germans, Norwegians, American, and British I think.

Stupid Melbourne weather. But I love it anyway. (There, I said "anyway" again). The weather had been so hot these past few days. I was so used to wearing shorts and flip flops to uni. Then the weather forecast for today: and foggy.

So much for wearing shorts and flops.

Off to Accounting 103. Ta!

FOOD

Although I love cooking and I know I'm good at it *ahem*, but it does get tiring sometimes you know? Having to come home and think what to cook, instead of eating straightaway made me appreciate having my mum around a lot more.

Anyway for dinner tonight I had no idea what to cook. Now, I love eating burger patties without the buns (weird, but whatever), as well as onions, garlic and carrot. So I thought, Hey why not just "campur" all together? Here's some step-by-step instructions if you want to try too.

Ingredients: Beef burger patties, 1 onion bulb, some garlic, one medium-sized carrot, pepper, soya sauce, sunflower oil.

Step 1: Heat saucepan with sunflower oil

Step 2: Pan fry patties, seasoned with pepper and soya sauce as well as a bit of sesame oil.

Step 3: While waiting for patties to cook, proceed to slice onions and carrots as well as chop the garlic.

Step 4: Pour boiled water on carrots and leave for 5 minutes to soften.

Step 5: Take out grilled patties and chuck the garlics in first, followed by sliced onions and lastly the drained carrots.

Step 6: With the aroma rising, return the patties back into the saucepan and continue frying until satisfied.

End product:

(I'm afraid the lighting didn't do it justice, but try it if you dare =D)

On a side note, I also cooked some Carbonara Fettucine a few nights back:

I'll be back with more pictures and recipes (if possible) next time. Till then, thank you for visiting and keep coming back. ;)

Van Gogh loved making these....

I'm sorry dear readers, I have been pretty preoccupied these past couple of weeks - with finding a room to rent, settling down, first couple of weeks of uni, etc. I wont be writing so much but I will let the following pictures from my arrival till now do the talking. Enjoy.

How I met your Mother

This is crazy.

I just started watching HIMYM. But I only have seasons 4 and 5 (Thanks Brandon).

Anyway I started watching on Thursday night and I've already almost finished season 4 except for the fact that I dont have episodes 22-24 (Again, thanks Brandon). Now I can't continue watching season 5 without knowing what happened in the last few chapters.

No you don't have to spoil it for me. I already read the spoilers. But I still have to see it for myself.

ANYWAY, back to Earth.

I went down to the city yesterday. Stupid tram+bus ride took me more than an hour. listened through at least twenty songs on my iPod. Saosin, Paramore, Anberlin, Parachute, etc.

Being the hero I am, I wore three-quarter pants the whole day, but with at least four layers of tops. And it was fun meeting up with Mich, Daryl and the rest of the gang. And bumped into school friends while randomly walking in the streets. Makes you wonder how big Melbourne really is.

Prediction for Germany vs Uruguay? Germany winning 3-1 with Klose scoring at least one to tie with Ronaldo.

Goodnight world.

Dinner in an ABC's house.

For those who love kangaroos, explicit images ahead!

Well I just got home from uni when Uncle Eddie (the father of the family I'm staying with temporary) told me, This is one night you will look back in 30 years and still remember.

Of course I was curious as to what that may be. He handed me a packing of a certain kind of red meat and on the cover it says Kangaroo Meat.

Well I won't go into all the details but he expected me to cook my first dinner in Australia for the whole family. And that dinner includes kangaroo meat. Here are some pictures of what I cooked up:

Kangaroo meat panfried with carrots, ginger, spring onion, with some garlic.

Cauliflower with capsicum and peas

PICS

Just some of the pics from Uncle Eddie's iPhone

In the Beginning was the word..

And the word was WELCOME. As in welcome to my blog.

I've decided to start blogging all over again, because I figured this is one way you guys back home in Malaysia can remember me or just to keep up to date with my happenings and for future Aussie friends to get to know me better. Oh and btw, the blog title is in Spanish because i'm rooting for them to win the World Cup this year. Either them or the Dutch anyhow. Dream final for me would be Holand vs Spain.

Oh i digressed. My apologies.

Blogging will be a route for me to rant and to bitch about everything under the sun (I don't really do that really, but we'll see) and also to be thankful for what I have done so far and just to share my pleasant life experiences.

This blog could and will also be a way for me to practice my writing skills. hah. Feel free to criticize when see fit. Especially my tenses. :D

ANYWAY. I've just got here Down Under about 2 days ago on the 3rd of July 2010. It has been rather chilly so far. But i heard it hasn't reach the coolest part of the winter yet. The temperature's only bout 10-13 degrees I reckon. And a big thank you to all you guys who went with me to the airport to see me off. Melanie, Brandon, Jeannie, Eric, and Sing Yee. You're the best!

So far I've been around the city already. And even out of town. Chuan Joe will upload some pictures soon on facebook. I will too, soon. On blogger at least.

Anyhow I'm thankful towards my parents and God for giving me this opportunity to come overseas and study. It'll be a new phase in life and a whole new experience. I figured that I should document this new phase on this blog. Well, we shall see how diligent and consistent is my blogging.

Thanks for visiting for the first time, and do come back in the future regularly, like every ten minutes or so. Who knows, you might hit some online jackpot or something. ;)

OH AND LEAVE COMMENTS :D
